Introduction to Mrs. Smith

Hello! I am thrilled to introduce myself as your child's second grade teacher. I am so excited to work with you and your child! It will be a year full of fun and learning.

I thought you might like to know a little bit about me. This will be my 12th year of teaching at Lehi Elementary. I love being a second grade teacher, it is a dream come true for me. 

My family and I have lived in Lehi for over 30 years, we love it here! My two oldest children attended this school before we moved to the northwest part of Lehi near Thanksgiving Point. It is fun for me to teach at the school where my kids got their educational start. I am so grateful that our school did not close and hopefully we will get many more years at our wonderful Lehi Elementary! 

I grew up in Preston, Idaho, the second of eight siblings. I graduated from Preston High School and then went to BYU where I earned my teaching degree and also met my husband. He is from Chicago and is a teacher and coach at Herriman High School. We have two daughters, a son, two sons-in-law, a Pomeranian puppy and two adorable grandchildren.  My little granddaughter Ivy is 7-years-old and my grandson Eli is 5-years-old. They live in Eagle Mountain so I get to see and play with them often. They are the joy of my life!
